This KNX bundle is especially designed for beginners in the KNX smart home automation. This package is a basic equipment for KNX and has all the necessary components to be able to start with KNX. You only need an ETS to program the included KNX devices and then you can get started right away. Since less than 5 devices are included in this KNX bundle, you can also program this bundle with an free ETS basic version. You can download the free version of ETS here. For the INSPINIA panel you do not need any additional software for programming.

Is the free version of the ETS software legal and are there any other versions of the ETS?

The free version of the ETS is legally usable and is officially provided by the KNX organization. You can also purchase other versions of the ETS software. However, these are no longer free of charge. It is often possible to purchase the Lite version of ETS with which you can program up to 20 KNX devices via the ETS campus. For larger projects, the acquisition of ETS is recommended professionally. We do not distribute ETS software and do not offer the ETS software with the KNX bundle.

What can I control with the KNX starter package in my smart home and can I also extend the KNX bundle?

The KNX actuator included in the KNX package start has 8 switchable outputs. With these outputs you can switch a total of 8 lamps/devices. The actuator included in the package is a KNX universal switch actuator, so you can also control blinds/shutters with the actuator. Please note that you need 2 outputs to control blinds/rolling shutters. You can control a maximum of 4 blinds with the included KNX actuator. With the switch actuator included in the KNX start bundle, you can assign the outputs in pairs. For example, you can use channel 1 and 2 to switch lamps, Channel 3 + 4 for a blind, Channel 5 + 6 for another blind and Channel 7 + 8 for switching devices. Additionally included in the KNX bundle 2 are KNX buttons with 4 buttons each. You can therefore place each output of the KNX actuator on one key. In addition, you can also control all outputs of the KNX actuator from the 10 "wall panel. We deliver the 10 "KNX wall panel including KNX visualisation and KNX module. You can access the functions of the KNX wall panel with our free Smarthome app for iOS and Android from anywhere. The KNX bundle start is optionally expandable by other KNX devices. You can extend it completely independently of the manufacturer. We offer you other KNX bundles with different equipment. Please also take a look at the KNX bundle "Start XL", "Real estate / Villa" and "premium". The KNX power supply with 320mA included in the KNX bundle is sufficient for at least another 20 KNX devices.

Can I also readjust the KNX start bundle or omit/Add components?

The KNX bundle and the price are only valid for the KNX bundle offered here. We offer optional extensions for the KNX bundle which you can select. If this is not your wish, please contact the sales team directly and get an offer. Please understand that we cannot offer all combinations of our KNX devices as bundles.

Also offer programming for the package and how much does the?

We offer all our KNX bundles including programming by professional system integrators. The programming includes the assignment of the inputs and outputs of the actuators to the buttons of the included buttons and the visualisation on the panel. The programming is not included and must be ordered separately. The programming of the KNX bundle can of course be adapted to your wishes. Should you require an individual programming by a professional system integrator, please contact our support by email.

Please note that we assemble the KNX bundle individually and carefully check all the devices before shipping. Accordingly, we need a slightly longer processing time. If you have chosen the package including programming, we need additional time for programming your package and the extensive tests before the package goes to you on the trip.
